R & B Station is burning through musical conventions, unleashing their own unique style of "Rockin' Soul". Tight, punchy, powerful, creative. And filled with hip horns, vivacious vocals, and drum-driven soul.
R&B Station was established in 1994 by band leader Mike Doughty. This band kicks hard and plays masterfully. And R and B Station is honored to have been called upon to tour with Shirley King, daughter of B.B. King, as her stage band!
R&B Station is also honored to feature Mark Pender on horns as well. Mark, a musical director for TV's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien", can play with whomever he wishes...and he chooses to gig with the musical masters of R&B Station.
Vocalists Pat Costello and Sharelle Andrews are a tight team and dynamic duo, performing everything from classic rock to contemporary high-energy hits. Sharelle has the honor of being an American Idol Hollywood Finalist. Following her shining success on American Idol, Sharelle was signed by Global Starr Records. Her CD, "I Believe" has received resounding reviews and is a genuine hit throughout the southern states.
