Since 1993, Landis and Matle have been surrounding themselves with the hottest sidemen in SE Michigan, performing stand-up-and groove concerts with their 6-piece percussion-happy jazz/rock ensemble SHEILA LANDIS & BRAZILIAN LOVE AFFAIR, touching all styles of Latin and Latin-influenced music including Bossa Nova, Samba and Flamenco. Rock and R & B influences also add spice to the wide embrace of Brazilian Love Affair. Composers' works featured include Antonio Carlos Jobim, Carlos Santana and Stevie Wonder, as well as Latin-charged jazz standards and originals from co-leaders Landis and Matle.
